Aucker Pads Point Lead With Fourth Micro Sprint Victory
SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Nick Aucker of Selinsgrove wired the field for his fourth win of the season in Friday night’s 20-lap 270 micro sprint car main event at Selinsgrove Raceway Park and in doing so stretched his points lead over defending champion Tyler Snook of Beavertown in the chase for the track championship.
Aucker won his heat race, started on the pole for the feature, and powered into the lead at the drop of the green flag. He paced the field with third-place starter Tyler Snook in pursuit. For the entire race, Aucker held a five-car length advantage over Snook.
At the finish, Aucker took the checkered flag over Snook, fourth-place starter Andy Knouse, fifth-place starter Brice Harro, and seventh-place starter Bobby Sanso.
Selinsgrove Raceway Park will present a program of go karts and micro sprint cars at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22. Track gates will open at 5:30 p.m.
