SELINSGROVE, Pa. September 15 - Selinsgrove Raceway Park completed its entire racing program Friday night with the exception of the 25-lap micro sprint car feature that was lined up on the track when persistent rain forced the postponement.
In the slingshot main event, second-place starter Steve Hicks led the first 18 laps of the 25-lap main event until his racer developed mechanical problems. Fourth-place starter Shannon Smith inherited the lead at this point and held off 10th-place starter Steve Intravaia for the victory. Jake Hummel picked up his fifth win of the season in the Junior Micro Division over Chad Vanhorn and Jessica Anderson.
Selinsgrove Raceway Park will present a racing program of go karts and micro sprint cars plus the Sept. 15 rescheduled micro sprint car feature at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22.
