February 16, 2020 - Modern Heritage Inc.To Champion 410 Sprints At Selinsgrove Speedway In 2020
Mifflinburg Firm Excited About New Oval Approach, March 29 Sprint Show Offers 4K To Win

Selinsgrove, Pa. –   While the Icebreaker 40 for combined modifieds is coming up as the 2020 season opener at Selinsgrove Speedway on Saturday, March 21, so too is the first show of the season for the 410 sprint cars and super late models just one week later on Sunday, March 29.

The “March Mayhem” program for the 410 sprints paying $4,000 to win will be the first of seven shows for the powerful, mud slinging 410 sprints at the track this season and Modern Heritage Inc. of Mifflinburg has announced its title sponsorship of the class for the year ahead.

Since opening in late 2019, Modern Heritage has quickly become a region leader in kitchen and bathroom custom design work and installation, "Creating Beautiful and Timeless Spaces.”

Offering not only full design and installation services, Modern Heritage also carries full lines of flooring and cabinetry for every customer’s needs at its showroom located at 321 East Chestnut Street in Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania.

Modern Heritage owner Nathan Lyons grew up attending the races at his favorite Saturday night racetrack, Selinsgrove Speedway and he’s excited about the speedway’s new direction in 2020.

“I believe with the management team that’s now in place at the track and the schedule that it's going to run, it’s only going to be successful and its going to be on the up,” Lyons says of his expected trajectory for the speedway given the 2020 season of specials that has been put into place for 410 sprints, super late models, 360 sprints and more.

“You’re not going to be killing the  same fans or killing the same car counts every week, so it's good,” he says.

“The diversity only makes sense to put more people in the stands and show off some really good Selinsgrove racing to them.”

Other Modern Heritage 410 sprint car dates to come on the 2020 Selinsgrove Speedway schedule of events will take place on: April 26, Ray Tilley Classic, June 28, PA Speedweek Jan Opperman/Dick Bogar Memorial; July 27 Summer Championship; August 29 Summer Sendoff; Sept. 6 Jim Nace Memorial National Open Qualifier; and Sept. 26, 38th annual Jim Nace Memorial National Open.

Each of the Modern Heritage 410 sprint car races on April 26, June 28 and September 26 are part of the 2020 Slivinski Law Offices Super 7 Series of races at the track, featuring just two divisions of racing action on the big half-mile!

02/02/2020 - Late Models A Big Piece Of 2020 Selinsgrove Racing Pie

Season of specials to highlight super lates and limited late models

The 2020 Selinsgrove Speedway schedule has plenty to offer for stock car and late model fans with 10 dates inked for the super late models and nine for the limited late model division.

And based on the level of late model competition at the Snyder County oval in 2019, the year ahead looks promising to say the least.

An even one dozen different super late winners were produced in 14 shows held at the track in 2019 while four different winners arose out of the five limited late shows held.

Coleby Frye of Dover was the only super late repeat winner of the season, scoring three victories while topping the year-long division points.

The new season holds a bunch of big races for the wide-open, wide-body super late models.

At the top of the list is the Jeff’s Auto Body & Recycling Center World of Outlaws 22nd annual National Open, coming up on Saturday, June 20.

Both the ULMS and NUSLMS will sanction specials at the track during the season as well with the ULMS April attack planned for April 11 and the NUSLMS Showdown on Sand Hill slated for August 15.

Other anticipated dates for the super lates during the year ahead include the Ron Keister Memorial on May 16, the Pa Super Late Model Challenge Series on June 13 and a Summer Championship on July 25.

The super lates will make their first appearance of the season as part of March Mayhem at 2 pm on March 29.

Three appearances by the super lates this season, on April 26, May 16 and June 20, will be part of the Slivinski Law Offices Super 7 Series of races, offering two-division events featuring fast-paced, fan-friendly, premier dirt track racing at its finest.

Selinsgrove Speedway will team with Selinsgrove Ford to hold “Race Day at the Dealership,” coming up on Saturday, March 7.

Speedway supporter Selinsgrove Ford is located just blocks north of the speedway at the intersection of Rt. 522 and business Rt. 15, in Selinsgrove.

The dealership will host the speedway motorsports show from 10 am – 3 pm on March 7.

Fans will be able to view the new Selinsgrove Ford F-150 pace truck at the show as well as pick up 2020 printed schedules and renew season seats and suites before they go on sale to the general public.

Weather permitting, “Race Day at the Dealership” will also offer race cars on display.

Selinsgrove Speedway will open 2020 at 2 pm Saturday, March 21, with the highly-anticipated return of the Northeast modifieds in the $5,000-to-win Icebreaker 40!

The recently released 2020 Selinsgrove Speedway schedule of events holds 21 dates for dirt track racing fans, seven of which will feature the 410 sprint cars.

That total of seven shows for the 410s during the season ahead represents a noticeable increase over recent seasons.

Just two or three races have been slated for the division during the last few years so a doubling or tripling of races for the new year has Selinsgrove sprint car fans excited.

The first 410 show of the year is set for Sunday afternoon, March 29 at 2 pm when March Mayhem hits the track along with the super late models.

Selinsgrove Speedway icon Ray Tilley of Pine Grove will be honored with the Icon Legacy Custom Homes Ray Tilley Classic for 410s on Sunday night, April 26, again accompanied by the super late models.

The annual Pennsylvania Speedweek Series for 410 sprints will hit the track on Sunday, June 28 when the Middleswarth Potato Chips Jan Opperman/Dick Bogar Memorial is staged as part of the opening weekend of speedweek action.

Race four of seven on the year for the 410s at Selinsgrove will hit the track on Saturday night, July 25 when the sprinters get highlighted in a Summer Championship as will the super late models.

Saturday night, August 29 will find the 410s racing in the Summer Sendoff.

And then the final two shows of the year for the super sprints will take place on Sunday night, September 6 and on Saturday night, Sept 26.

September 6 will feature the Selinsgrove Ford National Open Qualifier race for the 410s while the end of the month date will feature the 38th annual Jim Nace Memorial National Open, paying $20,000 to the winner.

Each of the races on April 26, June 28 and September 26 are part of the 2020 Slivinski Law Offices Super 7 Series of races, featuring just two divisions of racing action on the big half-mile!

The season will open on Saturday, March 21 at 2 pm with the return of the Icebreaker 40 for combined big and small block modifieds.

The sale of 2020 season admission passes and seats will begin soon with information released in the near future.
